A RainDance Water Systems Exclusive: The Well System Package Series - The ultimate multipurpose well water filters - Each Packaged Filter System is designed to filter multiple problematic water situations including: Iron, manganese, sulfur odor, nitrates, hard water, sulfate, and tannins.
In the first phase of treatment, iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide gas are treated with our Iron Max-125-10. This self-backwashing well water treatment is considered a "no maintenance" system as it automatically cleans it's filtration bed without the use of chlorine or other chemicals. This is accomplished with an electronic control valve that is mounted on top of the Iron Max-125. This valve is controlled by a timer, that on a regular interval, initiates the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration media and resets it for the next period of filtration. Our Iron Max-125-10 includes a user friendly Digital Control Valve to provide quick setup and programming. At this time, almost All Of Our Competitors Still Offer An Older Mechanical (dial) Version Of This New Modernized Control Valve.
The second phase of treatment includes hard water softening and your choice of nitrate, sulfate, or tannin filtration. These custom clean water softeners include a user friendly digital automatic metered control valve.This valve is controlled by a meter, which will calculate the amount of water being used. Once the meter reaches x amount of gallons, It will then initiate the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration media and resets it for the next period of filtration. This is called demand-initiated regeneration which senses when the resin must be recharged, either electronically or with a meter that measures and calculates usage. These DIR systems save on potassium or sodium regeneration water because it doesn't recharge unless necessary. In addition, it provides for unusually large water usage when you have guests.
