Calcium and magnesium (limescale) - both which are removed by a water softener - are two of the hardest minerals for a reverse osmosis membrane to remove. A water softener will help extend the life of your reverse osmosis membrane and, thus, improve the efficiency of your reverse osmosis water filter.

If Skid RO is to be used on well water we offer the following guidelines: Operating Parameters: Max TDS-3500ppm, Total iron is less than 5ppm, Manganese is less than 3ppm, H2S less than 10ppm, Water hardness below 60gpg, pH 6.5 -8.5, No iron bacteria. Calculations of production capabilities are based on a feed water temperature of 60 Deg. F. Lower temperatures may result in slightly lower production levels.

Integrated Treatment Systems - Industrial Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration Systems

In many past projects, we have had the responsibility of integrating multiple water treatment and process functions with RO membrane purification on an integrated skid system. Such integrated processes have included bulk media prefiltration, ozonation, UV, antiscalant injection, post pH correction injection as well as specific customer components. These specialized integrated systems come on a unitized skid frame with central water and power connections.

These systems have been produced for applications such as humidification control, environmental fog and misting, hothouse/agriculture, food processing, bio-manufacturing, power plant process water, potable water production and others. When a complete system approach is needed to provide the solution to a water treatment requirement, we can deliver the solution.

 

High purity water treatment systems have included both Reverse Osmosis/Deionizing Resin (RO/DI) as well as Reverse Osmosis/Electrodeionization (RO/EDI) systems. These systems produce output water up to 18 megohms and have been employed in chemical processes, medical device cleaning and semiconductor manufacturing. Engineers are well acquainted with the special considerations required in the design and implementation of such systems as to materials, instrumentation, safeguards and controls necessary to provide a reliable and dependable system product.

RainDance Water Systems offers Continuous Wound, Depth Replacement Filter Elements. Because there are no joints, these precise winding technique create a special diamond pattern, unequaled in particle trapping capabilities, which maintains a uniform micron retention throughout the length of the element. Our continuous wound elements are offered in lengths up to 72 inches and diameters up to 5 3/4 inches. All yarn is controlled from carding and spinning to the finished product. This insures only the highest quality in filter elements from the look and uniformity of the product to its performance in the field.

Absolute Wound Cartridges [ABP] Absolute polypropylene wound cartridges feature three levels of filtration plus are engineered to provide absolute ratings. These elements feature plastic end caps with gaskets to assure a positive seal in the vessel and an outer porous polypropylene shell as the first level of filtration.

High Efficiency Series: [HEP] High efficiency elements feature polypropylene standard diamond wound configuration engineered to high efficiency performance.For example, our part number HEP5R30P is a 5-micron nominal element that will approach 1-micron absolute performance. The High Efficiency Series provides efficient depth filtration with the added benefit of absolute confidence.

Extended Life Series: [EL] Extended life elements offer the best combination of increased element life with equally satisfactory filtration efficiency. Extended Life elements are available in a variety of filter media to suit your specific application requirements. The winding patterns have been engineered to provide longer life for cost savings while maintaining required filtration efficiency.

Bag Elements

RainDance Water Systems offers a complete line of replacement and custom bags to fit all manufacturer's filter bag housings. Available in polyester felt, polypropylene felt, nylon felt, polyester multifilament mesh, nylon monofilament mesh, polypropylene monofilament mesh, nomex felt, and Teflon with micron ratings from 0.5 to 1400. RO Consumables 100 and 300 series offer efficiencies of 85% to 90% with greater dirt holding capacity, and 500 series bags offer efficiencies of 99% at their respected micron ratings. Bag housings are also available in carbon steel, 304 stainless, and 316 stainless. Sizes range from 1 to 23 bags per housing with pressure ratings from 125 psi to 200 psi. Replacement strainer baskets and liquid displacers are also available for most bag housings.
