The Iron Eater-125 Iron Well Water Softener Series is designed to provide Residential and Light Commercial applications soft, iron filtered well water at higher flow rates. Designed to accommodate 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" PVC or Copper plumbing.

This is a self-backwashing system that automatically removes the trapped contaminants within the filter bed and washes them down the drain. This is accomplished with a digital electronic control valve that is mounted on top of the Iron Eater.This valve is controlled by an electronic meter, that calculates the amount of water being used.Once the meter reaches x amount of gallons, It then initiates the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration media and resets it for the next period of filtration.

What makes our Iron Eater-125 Series so unique - Dual Adjustable Backwashes. There is an initial backwash set at 10 minutes (adjustable from 1- 99 minutes in the field) that loosens the resin column and discharges any debris collected on the top of the resin bed since the last regeneration. We then draw in the brine and rinse it through the resin in a downward flow. Brine causes the resin to swell and this often causes iron collected on the outside of each resin bead to break free in fine particles. Left alone, these particles can and do remain in the softener and can accumulate causing iron bleed through and sometimes a pressure drop. The Iron Eater-125 Series, unlike virtually all other systems, has a second adjustable time backwash which is factory set at 5 minutes (and field adjustable 1 - 99 minutes) to rid the system of these particles for the ultimate in cleaning, softening and iron removal.

The system connects to the main line of your home or business and filters all the incoming water to it. It requires a nearby power outlet for the control valve. Just add potassium pellets to brine tank.

The Iron Eater alternating high flow twin tanks provide an uninterrupted supply of soft iron free water to your home or business. The Twin Alternating Iron Eater has two tanks for softening and filtering the iron water. Water is softened and filtered in one tank while the other is in a standby mode. When the softening capacity of the first tank is reached, the system automatically switches tanks. The first tank is then recharged. This cycle is repeated when the second tank reaches its capacity point.
